Iranian teacher Hadi Jalali has been sentenced to two years and seven months in prison after an appeals court in Kerman upheld his conviction. Authorities cited “exchanging information with individuals linked to Israel” and media activities among the charges against him.

The prosecutor of Sari says 700 judicial cases have been opened in connection with Iran's 2026 nationwide protests, with nearly 450 referred to the Revolutionary Court. Authorities also claim to have identified 139 cases of alleged "activities against the regime."
